With the weather getting cooler, I was in the mood for something warm and tasty. Since we had recently gone apple picking- baked apples were my treat of choice, so I thought I’d bring you all along while I made them! Here goes a cooking post…
I set our oven to 350 degrees ^
While the oven was preheating, I gathered my ingredients. For half a recipe, I used 3 apples (any kind you like), 3 and 1/2 tablespoons of sugar, 1 and 3/4 tablespoons of cinnamon, and 1/2 tablespoon of nutmeg…
Then I cut the apples into quarters and sliced them a pretty normal thickness. You can slice them thicker or thinner depending on your preference- you can even skin the apples if you’d like (:
Next, it was time to mix up my sweet ingredients and sprinkle them on! Spray or butter the pan before laying down the apple slices and adding the sugar mixture in between each layer. Then into the oven for 30 minutes…
After the time is up, take them out and drizzle the entire pan with water to soak in. Back into the oven for another 15 minutes and you’re all done (: super easy to make and so yummy for these autumn days or a midnight snack!
I stored my leftovers in Tupperware in the fridge and they were delicious cold too. My silly self forgot to take a picture after they were ALL done, but you get the idea from the last photo…
What’s your favorite baked good? Anything special you make for the fall season? Lemme know in the comments (:

Ahhh these look so delicious. I am not a big fan of warm apples but when you add cinnamon (my favorite spice out there) it just canβt be bad! Definitely tempted to try this snack xx

Rui and I love this!! His parents have apple trees and they sent us home with a bunch of them. Because they’re 100% organic they don’t use any pesticides which means they’re often not so pretty and have some holes left by birds. We cut the bad parts out and slice the rest. I do not use nutmeg and don’t butter then pan either. I simply lay the apple slices (they’re more chunks then slices), sprinkle them with sugar, cinnamon and just a little water. They go in the oven for about 10 minutes and they are ready. I like them while they’re warm. Do you eat them warm? xx
