PokémonGO trekking

Hellu,

Lately (with major updates and additions to the game) the urge to play PokémonGO has been reawakened in Justin & I which gets us outside and ultimately exploring the beautiful city around us. These photos aren’t the most recent, but rather were taken on warmer days! It just snowed here yesterday, so I’m missing the nicer weather a lot right now…

The first stop on our adventures was Brown’s Island and the surrounding area ^ we’ve been here before, but we’re still finding new things along the canal we hadn’t seen- like the huge murals shown above!

It was sunny enough for sunglasses! Can we get some more of that, please? We enjoyed the warm rays as we walked around and caught different Pokémon. Even managed to snag a Solrock ^ something new for our Pokédex!

We walked under the bridges beside the canal and found this crazy pattern ^ we got to 2 raids that day, Justin ended up capturing the first Rayquaza and I got the second one- so we were both happy to have the legendary dragon! We also took the hike up to the capitol and enjoyed all the gorgeous architecture throughout the city…

That evening we went to Plaza Azteca for dinner and it was AMAZING ^ they come to your table and make fresh guacamole right in front of you! The chicken tacos I got were perfect, not to mention that hottie sitting across from me 😉 looks like we caved and got churros for dessert too…

Our next trip on the PokémonGO journey was to a park almost an hour away, but there were a ton of people gathering there for February’s community day ^ I had just got my new lipstick in the mail the night before, so this was the first time I got to wear MAC’s Velvet Teddy (in love with it btw)!

After making the drive, we arrived to a huge park full of people of all ages! They had everything from playgrounds to ball fields & courts (they even had a dog park). We walked one of the trails past the archery range and came out near the water where we saw a ton of turtles along a log ^ it was very nice out even though the sun was hiding most of the day, the temperature stayed quite lovely!

I leveled up ^ finally one level closer to Justin (he’s almost at 30). We took a quick break from all the Dratini-catching to grab lunch at Tropical Smoothie. I got their chicken salad sandwich cause I crave it 6 out of the 7 day of the week haha and paired it with the Peaches n Silk smoothie. Justin finally caught a few shinies, at that point I had like 4 or 5…

We headed back to the park for the last hour of the event. They had a nature center that housed a bunch of forest critters like lizards, turtles, snakes, and FROGS! That’s my shiny collection so far ^ it was a successful day (:

Are any of you playing? It’s a great way to get out of the house, explore your hometown, and even make new friends!

  1. What a fun day! 💖 the pics! Those tacos 😋 delish! I have not played since the summer. My favorite part of playing Pokémon is seeing all the steps/miles you walk. Such a great way to work out without going to the gym. Fun post to read. 🤗

  2. You’re so photogenic! I love the pictures of the morals. I haven’t played the game but I worked at a festival this past fall and so many people were playing it! I’ll have to try it one of these days, it’s looks really fun ☺️

  3. The food looks delicious, especially the chicken tacos! ❤
I don't play PokemonGo (it doesn't work on my phone), but I love that it makes people go outside and explore – it's like an adventure! Seems like you had such a fun time! 🙂

  4. Gosh, I remember when PokemonGo first came out. My boyfriend and I travelled around everywhere looking for Pokemon and there would be a ton of people around those lures everywhere. It was crazy! I found so many new and different locations and architecture playing the game and just walking towards things I wanted.
Now with all the new updates and such, my boyfriend restarted his entire game and is trying to catch everything all over again.

  5. Amazing pictures! It’s so nice to see people just go out and catch pokemons, exploring the city.. You know, no pressure, no stress 😀 I wish I was able to just get out of my house with someone for a while. But school has been crazy lately (….and my brother just made me play Life Is Strange, so I’m kinda into that right now…:D) I can’t wait until the warmer weather comes, so I can at least try. 😀 …because the snow really did come back…
