La Frutta + extra 0range

Today’s post is a double feature as I received these products from different brands, but thought they’d work well together as a joint review. The first is Marzia’s newest collaboration with Winky Lux and the other is my latest VoxBox from Influenster!

I can’t say enough how much I adore all of Winky Lux’s packaging ^ it’s so perfectly pretty and always makes me feel like I’m opening a present, not just another piece of mail! This palette is called La Frutta, inspired by Italian fruits: pesca, anguria, limone, mango, and uva- peach, watermelon, lemon, mango, and grape respectively. After using her last palette (Natura) and absolutely loving it, I knew I wanted to try this!

I fell in love with the yellow (limone) shade as soon as I saw it ^ I decided for my first look created with this palette to just keep it simple and cover my lid with this lovely lemon color! I ditched the classic cat eye for a more muted wing under my eye with a shimmery rose gold liner, then just added mascara. I tried a darker lip color with this at first (Stella Marina by Marzia & Winky Lux), but ultimately opted for the Dattero lipstick, (by Marzia & Winky Lux) that I’d received in my sub box, to finish this look…

A bit more of a wearable look was made a few days later using the watermelon shade as a base, the grape shade in the crease, and a bit of the peach shade in the inner corner and brow bone ^ I didn’t take any close-up pics of this look because I did a horrible job with blending it (had to re-do it a few times), but I really like the feel of these shadows. I’ll only get better with practice!

Some more fruit for your fancy ^ I received another VoxBox from Influenster and this one came with an orange product: a brightening gel creme by Ole Henriksen. I love the box they sent this in, and it also came with a high-quality zipper pouch that’s actually large (just folded up in the photo as that’s how it came in the box). The product itself smells just like an orange creamsicle and feels very creamy. I’ve received things in the past that I love but aren’t right for my skin type, and unfortunately, this is one of them. It’s extremely hydrating and rich, but it feels a bit too heavy on my face- even when I use a little and put it on before bed. I think this would help me more if my skin got really dried out in the winter maybe! I will definitely keep it and I really do recommend it if you need the moisture (:

I hope you all enjoyed this super fruity post. The palette makes me even more excited for summer as the shades are so warm & bright! Stay tuned for more “spring into summer” content coming next Tuesday (:

  1. That Winky Lux palette is so gorgeous! I loved it from the moment I saw Marzia share it! You and her do a good job with creating looks with those colours, I would have no idea where to start haha! I still like to play it safe and stick with neutral shades lol

  2. You’re right, Winky Lux packaging is so cute. I like the colors in that palette, and they look pretty pigmented too.

I love face products that are orange. That’s too bad that it feels heavy on your face. I don’t like that feeling either.
