Busch Gardens

Part of our vacation was a day trip to Busch Gardens which is only about an hour away from us! It was hot, but mostly a clear day- til the end. I only managed to snap a few photos, but I wanted to share them with you all…

We grabbed breakfast at Panera real quick on our way out ^ and we got green teas! Justin looks so good in tank tops, I’m glad he finally got one on this summer. We ate our sandwiches and then it was back on the road…

After putting sunblock on as much skin as we could see, we headed into the park ^ we had purchased tickets online and printed them at home which made the process a bit quicker! It was super sunny out and the humidity wasn’t too bad…

I opted to wear my glasses and not even bring my sunglasses, that way I wouldn’t be switching back and forth all day ^ we took selfies by the swirly manicured bushes! I felt burnt before the day had even begun haha

The first ride we went on was The Loch Ness Monster, which was the first ever upside-down roller coaster I rode (back in the day when I was like 10, that was the last time I’d been here). It’s been in the park for over 40 years! The second one we went on was a water ride ^ Escape from Pompeii haha it was refreshing for sure…

We stopped in a bunch of the shops to cool off & see the souvenirs and found that my all-time favorite ride ^ The Big Bad Wolf, was shut down in 2009 which I was very upset about (it was a hang-from-the-track coaster with a corkscrew). I ended up getting a tee shirt in honor of the lost ride *RIP*

We also found cute props to take goofy photos with ^ like the grape stomping area haha and the various bear statues! Justin looks so HOT omg I’m the luckiest girl in the world, I swear…

This trip was a lot of walking the park in search of rides & one we went on really gave me a headache- of course it was the one with the longest line (not worth it). The ride I really wanted to get on ended up being the farthest away, and sadly, we didn’t make it…

We had got lunch in the Italy section which was great, duh! It rained on us at the end of the day when we were about to leave, so we didn’t get any cannolis. But we did sneak in a wine tasting and got to bring home the glasses- still a win haha

The day was an adventure in itself and when the rain had let up a bit, we walked through 3 countries to get to our car! The whole park is themed in Europe (if you didn’t know) so we walked through the lots labeled Germany and Italy before getting to ours which was Ireland…

I’m hoping we can plan better next year and get to go more than once or at least 2 days in a row because there’s just too much to see & do in one day! I’d love to visit the Busch Gardens in Florida again too- that park is Middle Eastern/Africa themed and it has a safari with all kinds of animals. I haven’t been back since high school though…next summer will be better thought through lol have you been to Busch Gardens? If so, which one? Let me know in the comments & thank you all for reading (:

  2. I went to the Florida Busch Gardens a couple of years ago. I literally had no idea what you were meaning when you said Italy, Germany, etc because I didn’t realize that ours had a theme, lol. I thought that was just the design for all of them. Also, the summertime is a KILLER here– hot and rainy everyday If you could come in the Fall or something, it might be better. 🙂

  3. I’ve never been to Busch Gardens, but it sounds like fun. I actually had no idea that it was themed in different countries. That sounds pretty cool! The only amusement park I’ve ever been to is Hershey Park.
