Faves might be a bit unusual this month, but it’s cause most of the pictures went into real posts already or will be in upcoming ones! Which makes me happy that I feel I’m getting back into a groove of blogging the way I like (: so I’ll stop rambling and show you what I’m labeling as my favorites from September…
Playing games & dressup
We got 2 different versions of The Game of Life! While I won the newer version, Justin was more profitable playing the classic game. All around a fun time and a nice breath of fresh air between all the video games. I got a coupon in the mail (that I didn’t end up using cause my insurance was cheaper) from an eyeglass store I’d never heard of, so the other day we went to try on frames. The reveal of which ones I got *3 pairs* will be in a future post! We also went to a Halloween store to find accent pieces for our costumes. Y’all know I had to have at least one ZEPETO photo too ^
All the food! I made pasta/soup using some yummy minestrone from World Market + gluten-free penne and topped it with shredded parm of course. I also couldn’t resist more cannolis… and I finally got a crockpot so I could make BEEF STEW! Talked to my mom on the phone to get a few last minute pointers before I started, and it turned out so tasty. I was really happy (and impressed) with it! I know Justin liked it a lot too, which made it even better. Stay tuned to see what dish I attempt to cook in it next lol we tried a sushi place down the road from us that was pretty good. Highlight was the rice paper wrapped spring rolls that we had to search for duck sauce for- they were delicious. Later in the month, we went back to the same strip to try a bistro place called Four Brothers. It was amazing and I can’t wait to go back or have it delivered straight to our house!!! We also rediscovered our love for Wegmans and might be doing all our future grocery shopping there… I can neither confirm nor deny. Still love you, Target!
I kept reaching for my little Coach bucket bag when we were going out this month and I blame it on the hot weather! I love that the bag is so small & easy to just sling over my shoulder. It matches basically everything, so you really can’t go wrong. But I am excited for when the temperatures around here start dropping and I can feel comfortable wearing my bigger purse again- cause I love that one too! We stepped into Lush the other day and while the gentleman working there helped Justin find some new skincare things to try, I was intrigued by the haircare section. I didn’t get it cause even the small container was like $30 but this moisturizer stuff seemed super nice. Lastly in this category, scrubby soaps from Soap for Soul! This company is so awesome and if you haven’t heard of them, please look them up on Instagram & Etsy cause they’ve got fantastic soaps. The customer service is also phenomenal. I won a giveaway from them recently and just had to get Justin & I these new scrubby soaps they added to their store. It’s got a cranberry oil base for energizing and the scrubby part is coffee! You can customize pretty much every aspect of whichever soap you choose, including color & scent, and now if you want it scrubby. Tell them you heard it from me if you do buy something, and lemme know how you end up liking it (:
Our little man
The groundhog in our backyard is back! Sometimes we don’t see him for a few days in a row, but it’s so nice when he pops back up. He’s been loving the stairs at the nasty shed (that we wanna renovate or tear down)… so we can spot him easily from our bedroom or kitchen windows. We recently bought a cantaloupe to feed him and threw a bunch of chunks in the backyard for him. He’s just too dang cute!
Here are my favorite Tarot cards that I’ve drawn this month. Let me know in the comments if this is something you’d like to see reoccurring in my future favorites posts! I’d love to know how many of you are as interested in it as I am (:
That ties it up! I hope you enjoyed a shorter favorites post this month while I got my blogging brain back on track. Have a great weekend & I’ll see you in October xo
