There’s only 4 more days until Christmas, and I think I’m keeping up this year! I’ve been trying to stay on track with gifts & decorations. I thought I’d take some photos along the way to share with you all…
We’ve kept our smaller tree from the apartment & put it in front of one of the living room windows. I also kept the same multicolor ball ornaments from last year, but there are a few new additions if you can spot them! I changed a couple tiny stocking ornaments into actual stockings for our frogs & hung them in the window. We were looking for more lights at Target and found a sweet mini tree to display in our bedroom. Lastly, the mirror we’ve been dreaming of! My dad got this for us as a pre-Christmas gift & it’s prefect for a place to hang our stockings since we don’t have a mantle at our house. Justin picked up a silly chicken hat too (:
Baking with the girls
My mom invited me & my sisters over to her house to make Christmas cookies and just generally catch up before the actual holiday. We had a blast, and even though we couldn’t stay too long (cause of everyone’s busy schedules), I’m glad we got some updated photos. Macy enjoyed the extra attention too…she’ll be happy to see us all again on Christmas Eve night when we’re all back- with our significant others- for dinner with mom & her boyfriend!
I handmade my sisters gifts this year (cause none of us really had a list in mind)…which was a lot of fun & something I’ll probably do more in the future! I’m still waiting on a couple things for Justin to come in the mail, but everyone else gifts are wrapped and under the tree. We also sent out Christmas cards for the first time this year. I don’t know how well I’ll keep up with it in coming years, but this time it was perfect since we had those professional photos taken in November (: we also got a fun advent calendar full of those little chocolate bottles with liqueurs on the inside- they’ve been super yummy & a nice treat every 2 days (since we’re sharing it).
That’s been my Christmas prep so far! I still have to wrap the rest of Justin’s gifts whenever they arrive (hopefully before Christmas), and I will be making cornbread as a side dish/dessert for lunch at Dad’s house on the 25th… Today is also our 50-month anniversary if anyone cares lol still can’t believe it’s been over 4 years! Happy holidays (:
