July’s n0tes

Happy August everyone! Can I get some applause for all the goals being checked off last month? I’m actually really proud of myself for these three & I’m hoping I can do just as well with my list for August. Wish me luck!

Use lash serum every night in July

I got this serum from Lashfood a while back & never had given it a real chance by using it daily for an extended period of time. So I made it a goal to try it out last month by applying it every night before bed, after my nighttime skincare routine. I’m not actually sure if it’s done much or if I’m just paying more attention to my lashes that I never gave my attention to before. I think the bottom ones look a bit fuller/longer (even though it doesn’t say to apply it on the lower lash line, I did it anyway). I did see a couple new lashes on my upper lid, but that could be totally natural too…

Whether it works well enough to see a physical change or not, it’s a nice ritual to have each evening & I’m sure it does make the lashes healthier. They def don’t fall out!

Outline my “everyday” makeup look

This wasn’t an intentional goal for July, but I’m still very happy with the results I got on this single day. I don’t do my makeup everyday (hence the quotation marks), but if I did…I would try to recreate this look ^ If you’re wondering, here’s a list of products I used:

It Cosmetics your skin but better illumination cc+ cream in shade Light

KatVonD cake pencil on lower waterline in White Out

Ciaté London fierce flicks liquid liner

Sephora Posh #02 lashes

Glossier Play nite shine highlighter in Platinum Rose

NYX lip pencil in Nude Pink

MAC matte lipstick in Velvet Teddy

Colourpop Lux gloss in Tied Up

Go to the beach

We finally got our butts to the beach! I’m so glad we did, cause it was honestly the best day we’ve both had in a while. My alarm didn’t go off, so we got a late start, but I think it ended up being the perfect trip regardless. It was cloudy the whole time, but OMG the clouds were gorgeous! The temperature was still super hot, but the breeze off the water really cut the humidity & made it much more tolerable. We found a bunch of weird stuff in the sand (unfortunately, I just realized I don’t have a photo of all the bits of beach glass Justin found) & even saw some jellyfish along the shore. We went to this adorable beachside bar after we had had enough sun for the day. Justin ordered a watermelon drink that I thought was nasty, but my “Electric Lizard” was so yummy. He got a huge Po-boy that he finished in one sitting & I got the crab cake dinner which luckily was stellar! A cherry on top of a wonderful outing (:

What’ve you been up to this summer? Any big things you’ve accomplished or set goals to do before the seasons change? Let me know in the comments, I’d love to chat with you guys! Thanks so much for reading xo
